Intelligent solutions for counting and weighing components
In some conveyor and automation processes, it is necessary to count bulk goods – e.g. to change a container when a certain number of pieces is reached. If it is not possible to determine the number of pieces, e.g. by means of counting pulses from a production machine, or if it is too time-consuming to separate the products individually, the integration of a scale into the process can help.
MTF Technik offers the integration of load cells into various devices. For example, the load cells can be mounted under a conveyor belt on which containers are filled. When a desired weight is reached, the container is removed from the conveyor belt, a new container is provided, the scale is tared and then refilled.scale is tared and then refilled.
This principle is particularly economical if the individual weight of the components is sufficiently high and a certain tolerance in quantity is permitted. This is typically the case when, for example, products are further processed in-house and it is not necessary to count the exact number of items.
